This bill will change the name of the Colorado Water Resources Research Institute to the Colorado Water Institute. It will expand the purposes and duties of the institute and authorize state funds for water research making sure that no more than 20% of fees go towards administrative costs. It also designates the executive directors of the departments of natural resources and public health and environment as members of the advisory committee on water research policy.
