HELP WANTED! Looking for a way to get involved? The Poudre Canyon Group relies entirely on its volunteers for all of its local efforts. Whether you have just a few hours to spare, or are interested in taking a leadership role, you've come to the right place.

Newsletter Committee

The Poudre Canyon Cache is a quarterly newsletter that we use to communicate with our group's general membership (currently over 1900 strong). The Cache is also available on our website. If you already have an editing and/or writing background, or are looking for a chance to develop these skills, here's your chance. We're also looking for volunteers to help with distribution to various local outlets, and to work with local businesses who wish to advertise in the Cache.

Website Committee

Our website is a key communication tool for our members and the general public, and so it is important that we keep the content interesting and up-to-date. Work with other PCG volunteers to coordinate new content, updates and improvements.

MOUNTAINFILM Organizers

The Poudre Canyon Group has hosted the Fort Collins stop of the MOUNTAINFILM in Telluride World Tour. This event is fast becoming a tradition among afficionados of world-class films that highlight mountain culture and outdoor adventure. Volunteers are needed to help with event organization and promotion for the next tourstop.

Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteers are essential to the Sierra Club, and our goal is to provide any member who wants to help out the opportunity to do so. The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with committee chairs to match volunteers to volunteer opportunities as they arise. This includes managing a database of volunteers' interests and contact information, and following-up with volunteers who contact us looking for opportunities to get active. This is a great way to learn about the issues we're working on and to meet other active Sierra Club members.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee serves as the "welcome wagon" for new members who have just joined the Club, making sure that they receive information about our local group, and that they know who to contact for more information.

Booths and Events

Throughout the year, the PCG often has booths or other displays at local events to help get the word out about our campaigns and other issues that we're involved in. Helping staff a booth is an easy way to get involved, and a great way to meet people who might be interested in what the Sierra Club is doing. Time committment is minimal, and training, if necessary, is provided.

Phonebank Volunteers

We often need to contact our members to get the word out on upcoming events, programs, or issues that need their attention. This is a low-overhead, but very important, way to help the PCG stay connected with our members.
