Election season is upon us - we are looking for cantidates for our Executive Committee. The ExCom meets once a month, setting the direction for the Poudre Canyon Group and selecting the initiatives on which we will focus our energy. If you are interested, please contact one of the members of our nominating committee by Thursday 9/15. Two members to contact are: Shane Davis: shane.davis@rmc.sierraclub.org, or Richard Kommrusch (970) 266-0028. All we need is a few sentences about why you want to serve on the board that we can include in the election material. The PCG will have a booth at the upcoming Sustainable Living Fair, and we need volunteers! View Shifts and Sign Up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/rocky14. You can see information about the fair here: http://www.sustainablelivingassociation.org/sustainable-living-fair/ Plan to attend our big Fracking Event at the Fort Collins Brewery (1020 E. Lincoln, Fort Collins CO) on Saturday September 24. We have a great presentation on the impacts of Hydraulic Fracturing - Fracking! Guest speaker will be Wes Wilson, EPA whistleblower and expert on fracking issues. There will be slideshows and videos on many aspects of fracking. Food and drinks will be provided, donations appreciated. We want an energetic, connected community of Sierra Club members. Part of our plan is to use on-line social networking. We are experimenting with a new blog! Visit it at: http://sierraclubpcg.blogspot.com/. Please take a look at the early release and let us know what you think! Please visit our Conservation Issues page for information on local environmental efforts and how you can help.
